The Story of a Soul, Chapter 2: At Les Buissonnets, p. 19-21
Therese and her family moved from Alencon to Lisieux and into her new home at Les Buissonnets. The house was to be place of fond memories, with Marie always close to comfort her at times when Therese missed her mother. She spent much time with her adoring father, in the house gardens and on fishing outings. Often while her father fished, Therese would sit among the grass and flowers for hours, pondering ideas in near spiritual meditation (for a five-year-old). During these times she felt God's presence. She also perceived Him once in a nearby lighting strike that abruptly ended one particular fishing trip as her father wisked her toward home and safety.
