St. Therese! These writings have been neglected for some days in their small part in bringing your life and love to the effort of supporting the church named for your devotion to God.

Your life and love are so abundant with the passion for Jesus it brings tears! A close examination of this love affair undoes preconceptions of the nature of devotion to the Divine – it is a real and awesome experience! Your personal, private writing – not meant as autobiography, but simply personal outpouring to your sisters – is so inspiring in its human frankness toward the gift of your divine marriage to Christ! What joy to begin the heavenly experience of our Triune God in this life, your life as a cloistered sister wed to Him!

Holy mother of faith and Church doctor, pray for your church established in your memory, that as people, faith, and community we are united as brothers and sisters of Christ. May our efforts to maintain this church and school be blessed by the Father, and may we continue to realize how profound was your “little way” of faith, love and devotion to our Lord. Amen.
