You are risen!

Lord Jesus, You became man to show us the possible if we become like You. Daily, hourly, we are given our tasks, and within these we find cause to satisfy earthly desires, or turn to You and ask, "How would You proceed, Lord?"

I am so weak Jesus. I still worry about the now and the earthly possible. I can not summon Your presence; it is there, always, though my human nature prefers to ignore it. No mind or thinking commands Your presence. It is given in ways You decide, and I do not understand but must simply and always accept.

I do not put on Christ. I remove the disguise which is me and He shines through. This self dies away and is reborn -- a trial, certainly -- a sacrifice that may for a very few become the Cross. Yet, the rebirth brings joy and communion with every created human creature because they are in Your image. And we are all Your sons.

What is earthly can not be made heavenly. What is in time is not eternal. A strange force in this earthly plain -- Your force of love -- pushes us beyond reason to perform acts of love and charity that do not make sense in the here and now to calculating minds.

My joy is in You. May it always be so!
