Lord, I am filled with distress. I have so many things I should be doing, and they overwhelm me. And I face uncertainty. Yet, this morning I choose to follow Your precepts first.

Yesterday commemorated Pentecost! Having withdrawn Your physical risen body from Your apostles, it is replaced by the Holy Spirit. The Spirit now lives among Christians as a tangible, empowering expression of that immense love between Father and Son, received and shared.

I pray Lord to be always open to the Spirit and that You do not depart from me. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that my purpose be guided by a constant desire to do Your will. Thank you for the guiding presence of Your saints and Your disciples living now. Thank you for my children and my wife. May I remain Your faithful servant, lowly and unworthy, improved only by Your love and grace.
